APOHEALTH Children's Ibuprofen 6 months to 12 years is for the temporary relief of minor pain and fever in children aged 6 months and over.

It reduces fever and may be used for the temporary relief of pain and discomfort from: headaches, teething, earache, muscle sprains, colds & flu symptoms and childhood vaccinations. Orange flavour.

How to use

Shake well before use. For safety, child resistant cap fitted. To open, push down and then anti clock wise. Make sure after use that cap is locked by turning clockwise until lock engages with a click. Give the dose using the dosing syringe provided: Give correct dose every 6-8 hours when necessary, with no more than 4 doses in 24 hours. If you know your child's weight, choose the dose for that weight rather than the dose according to their age. Children weighing over 41 kg should be dosed at 5 - 10 mg/kg per dose up to a maximum single dose of 400 mg = 20 mL, with a maximum daily dose of 1200 mg = 60 mL in 24 hours. Do not exceed the recommended dose or administer for longer than a few days at a time without medical advice. Excessive use can be harmful. This product is better tolerated with food or milk. Infants under 6 months: Do not use this medicine 6 to 12 months of age: Use on medical advice only 6 months to 1 year:(8 - 10 kg): 3 - 4 mL 1 - 2 years (10 - 12 kg): 4 - 5 mL 2 - 3 years (12 - 14 kg): 5 - 6 mL 3 - 5 years (14 - 18 kg): 6 - 7 mL 5 - 7 years (18 - 22 kg): 7 - 9 mL 7 - 9 years (22 - 28 kg): 9 - 11 mL 9 - 10 years (28 - 32 kg): 11 - 12 mL 10 - 12 years (32 - 41 kg): 12 - 15 mL

SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE BEFORE GIVING THIS MEDICATION TO INFANTS AGED 6 TO 12 MONTHS. IF SYMPTOMS PERSIST FOR MORE THAN 3 DAYS OR IF FEVER WORSENS, CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR. This preparation is for the relief of minor and temporary ailments and should be used strictly as directed. Prolonged or excessive use without medical supervision could be harmful. See your doctor before taking this product if your child is receiving regular medical attention, has asthma, is taking other medicines containing ibuprofen or aspirin, other anti-inflammatory or pain relief medicines, or takes other medicines regularly. Do not give to infants or children who have diarrhoea or vomiting, have stomach ulcers or other stomach disorders, impaired kidney function, heart failure, or have allergies to hydroxybenzoate preservatives, sodium benzoate, aspirin, ibuprofen, anti-inflammatory medicines or other medicines used for pain relief. If your child gets an allergic reaction, stop giving and see your doctor immediately. Women in the first 6 months of pregnancy who are considering taking this product should consult their doctor before use. Do not use at all in the last 3 months of pregnancy. Do not use if on the first opening, the seal around the cap is broken or missing.
