Sorbact Foam Dressing is a sterile wound dressing designed for the management of low to moderately exuding wounds. Based on Sorbact technology, this foam dressing features bacteria and fungi-binding properties that work to reduce bioburden in the wound environment. The dressing absorbs and retains wound exudate whilst the semi-permeable backing film allows excess fluid to evaporate, helping to maintain an appropriate moisture balance. Sorbact Foam Dressing is suitable for use in clinical and home care settings as part of a comprehensive wound management protocol. This 10cm x 10cm sterile dressing provides a practical solution for healthcare professionals and patients requiring effective exudate management in moderately exuding wounds. Always follow healthcare professional guidance and manufacturer instructions for appropriate wound assessment, dressing selection and application technique.

Contraindications and Precautions

Do not use on heavily exuding wounds; select an appropriate high-absorbency dressing instead. Not suitable for use on dry wounds or eschar. Discontinue use and seek healthcare professional advice if signs of infection develop, including increased pain, redness, warmth, swelling, or purulent discharge. If allergic reaction or skin irritation occurs, remove the dressing immediately and consult your healthcare professional. For patients with known latex allergy, confirm product composition with your healthcare provider before use.

When to Seek Medical Advice

Seek immediate medical attention if the wound shows signs of infection, spreading redness, increased pain despite appropriate pain management, or systemic signs such as fever or malaise. If the wound does not show signs of healing progress within 2-4 weeks, consult your healthcare professional for wound reassessment.
