The spicy all-purpose Japanese condiment. It is zesty, spicy and salty but has Umami flavour. It has clean finish taste and RED has a slightly milder taste than GREEN. It matches with other condiments such as oils, vinegars, soy sauces. It goes well with red meat/fish. It gives great accent to stir fried veggies, soups, noodles etc.
